Well our homeschooling year is flying by. We are already in week 11. I thought I would share how our curriculum choices are working out so far.
I will start with math. Initially I was planning on using Right start math along with Singapore math. Well we are still using Singapore math but I decided to add in CLE math after reading reviews of this math program. So far I am currently happy with both of our math choices.

The artist and composer study are based on Charlotte Masons teaching method. Both seem very easy and doable and I will be implementing this as part of our homeschooling next year.

I have been missing in action regarding this blog due to researching and learning about homeschooling. I recently discovered the The Well-Trained Mind
website and the message boards which have totally consumed my time. I have read the 2nd edition of the The Well-Trained Mind
and have just order the 3rd edition that was recently released. I feel that I have found a great direction to take our homeschooling journey with the information provided in this book.

Millions of children in the United States are homeschooled. In fact, Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA) projects that this number will reach over 12 million by 2015. The United States Constitution does not have specific laws concerning education; each state governs education and has its own laws concerning homeschooling. So, if you have considered homeschooling your children, you will only have to learn the laws for your individual state.
